Before anything else, I'd like apologize deeply for not having been on to let those of you on my list know what has happened.
I don't know how else to say it, so I'm just going to dive right in.
Right around New Year 2008, my mom had an accident (she had fallen and hit her head) and for a while after that, we didn't know whether she was going to make it (a previous head operation had made her more fragile). Needless to say, I dropped everything, all my plans. I was paralyzed, and not just with fear. From there, I spiraled into depression.
I haven't written anything over the past year. Sometimes I think I see a glimmer of an idea, so I get hopeful and jot that down in a notebook. But when I try to catch it, develop it, it disappears. It's like grabbing at mist or trying to keep water in your hand. The frustration feeds itself.
Gameplay has been nil too.
As for my future plans regarding my sims and the stories I wrote, those are up in the air. I honestly don't know when my drive will return, if it will return. For now I'm trying to find a new webspace for them and my pictures. It's daunting task, because my Scrapbook is full to bursting. I don't know whether I have the capacity to do that as well.
I have missed you all. Terribly. Hope everyone is doing okay.

Everything that has to do with my New Year's Eve party is currently on hold until I make sure all of my programs are running well under Vista (I hate Vista --- I don't care for the bloat, but it came with my new computer so I have no choice.) I already have PSP9 reinstalled (but only after a lot of grief), so at least that's taken care of. Transfer of my Sims 2 game went through without a hitch though, which is the one bright spot.
Anywho, if I manage to post the video on time, I'll be one happy camper. If not, I'll still be a happy camper! :p
( One of Rick & Andre, two faces you haven't seen in a long time because I've not been able to visit with them. )

| [Video] We Are Three |
[17 Dec 2007|06:10pm] |

I am filled with you. Skin, blood, bone, brain, and soul. There's no room for lack of trust, or trust. Nothing in this existence but that existence.
From We Three by Rumi, 13th century scholar, teacher, and spiritual poet.
Starring my sims, Kit Angeles, Mari Elise Mabini, and Emil St. Adalard as themselves. Told from Kit's point of view.

X-posted.
