Viridiana St.Adalard Legacy (prologue in comic book form + the rest in pics)
This was supposed to be a Dilute the Ugly Gene Challenge but, since Viridiana's bug eyes disappeared with the second generation, I don't know if it still qualifies. Plus, except for following the rule about marrying only townies, I used hacks and cheats to speed things along since I don't have time to dally with this project.

Like I mentioned in this post @ my Wordpress blog, I wasn’t going to do a prologue for this family, but ended up doing one anyway after I realized that I didn’t have the time (or the inclination) to edit a bajillion pictures. So I decided to do things differently this time around. The prologue is done like a comic book but the rest of the pictures are treated (and will be, from now on) in the usual way. Besides, I ran out of story. :p

Okay, I'll stop yakking now. Onward to the pics!

I don't have any pictures of teen Viridiana because it was when she turned into a child that I decided to clone her and place her --- all grown up --- in a neighborhood of her own so she could begin the legacy.



All grown up and alone and missing her dad.





But, she's resilient. The best cure for loneliness is work --- or spying on one's neighbors during the day. Hey, that last bit on daytime stargazing activities was all Viridiana's idea; I had nothing to do with it! :P





After a lot of hits and misses, she finally settled on Mayhew Gast, aka, Mr. Big. At this point, I still can't decide whether I want to throttle him or bless him for taking part in this legacy. Why? Because he's totally true to his nature: primps non-stop, and brags everyone's ears off. I gotta hand it to Viridiana though: when the old blowhard starts up, she just pretends to listen. ;)

Mr. Gast's LTW was to see 6 pets reach the top of their careers; he's done that (he now thinks of himself as Cat Breeder Extraordinaire), so now he's even more of a braggart than before. *sighs*



This is the second generation heir, Malachite, and his bride, Kendra Bruenig. She was a teen when she and Malachite became friends.

Kendra and Malachite have a son named Kurt. Kurt just married Kerie Bruty; they now have two sons: Patrick and Ian. Alas but, I have no pics yet. :(



This is how Kendra looked as a teenager.



This is Malachite's brother, Verdigris. He's single.



Look who's come to visit --- Viridiana's dad, Emil Test Clone #1, aka, Captain Hero. Well, actually, in this neighborhood, he's retired and taking things easy. Get a load of those gums! :p

Thanks --- I was surprised at seeing her grow up pretty! I just have to avoid taking profile pics of her because that's when the extreme bulge of her eyeballs really show. :P

Thanks! It was kinda sad and yet interesting to see Emil as an old person in this neighborhood. Plus, he's even more crotchety now that he's a senior citizen! ;)

I love Kit's "Well shrivel my nuts..." That made me laugh out loud. Viridiana is absolutely beautiful though even with the giant eyes. ^^

lol Well, you know Kit! But yeah, Viridiana's eyes are just huuuuge --- the bulge is especially prominent when viewed from the side. Which is why I've no profile pics of her. ;)

At first I thought she was going to have those blocky cheeks for the rest of her life, so I was really surprised when they disappeared once she became an adult. :)

I was in a really bad mood whnen I woke up (which was something like five minutes ago). The comic thing at the start of this entry helped so much, now I'm... still smiling!
I really liked the picture of Viridiana floating next to her dad while being born. Never seen that happen, before! Cool! Oh, and how while everyone else is laughing at Emil #1's abduction (except mad scientist Emil, who is sad), except Horton, who seems to wear the face of eternal ":|"ishness.
In the teaser, Viridiana first seemed, to me, to be a character from The Nightmare Before Christmas, or some other Tim Burton claymation movie. So... she's probably not that ugly, anyway! :D

You caught the belly-halo-galaxy-flash! =D

And your writing in this rocks my socks... it's not just the funny comments, but the repetition ("Should have been me.") and especially the comic timing.

This is gread. I loved the comic book theme at the beginning - just brilliant! I wish I had talent and patience to do what you do with my photos. Mine are always so lacklustre and boring.

I think Viridiana is super pretty, where did you get those eyes? They are awesome!

I am going to have to go back and read up on some more of your stuff, I really love it.

Sorry for the caps, but I just can't contain myself!! I need more, more comics by Ephy! You even used the Official Comic Book Font. I think this story lends itself to comics well because it's like the birth of a superhero...wait, birth of an alien baby by a superhero...It's awesome though, very well done!

how did Viridiana end up with a human nose but alien eye shape and skin tone?!

It's rare, but it can happen. I've had only two born in-game alien babies (of which Viridiana is one) that didn't have the flattened nose; all the other born in-game aliens I've had, had flat noses. I was hoping she'd have the alien eyes though, but sadly, the custom eyes I use (Helaene's), seem to be very dominant in the game.
